There are several train providers operating services into Hull. First Hull Trains offer a service from London Kings Cross calling at Stevenage, Grantham, Retford, Doncaster, Selby, Howden & Brough. The station is located within the city centre and is approximately 4 miles from the Passenger Terminal, King George Dock. Taxis are available outside the station concourse.

The Langton Cruise Terminal is a purpose-built facility within the industrial port area with limited amenities, including a small seating area and toilets, for cruise passengers waiting to board. Approaching Liverpool, take M57 to end then A5036 signposted 'Bootle and Docks'. At the junction with the A565 at Crosby Flyover, turn right under the flyover to the main dock entrance at Seaforth (Satnav postcode L21 1LA). Followthe yellowsigns 'Langton Cruise Terminal/Ocean Countess'. From M6/M58 end: Follow the instructions above along the A5036. From M53 and Wirral: From the Mersey Tunnels (Kingsway) turn left on to Scotland Road (signposted 'A567 – Bootle'). Keep left at the next junction to 'Bootle and Litherland' along Stanley Road. Turn left at the 4th set of junction lights (signposted 'Docks 1-103') along Bank Hall Road. Turn right at the next set of traffic lights on to Derby Road. Carry on for 2 miles until the overhead sign indicates left lane to 'Freeport and Gladstone'. Take this exit (before the flyover) which leads to the main port entrance at Seaforth at the junction with the A5036. In all cases once you have entered the port, continue to follow the yellow signs marked Langton Cruise Terminal/Langton Cruise Terminal – Ocean Countess. Please note that once within the port area passengers will still have approximately 1.5 miles to drive within the port to reach the Cruise Terminal. Cruise & Maritime Voyages

The Port of Liverpool is able to offer passengers secure car parking facilities within the port area and just a short shuttle bus ride to the Langton Cruise Terminal. Passengers should enter the dock area by the Seaforth Dock Gate and then follow the yellow signs for Langton Cruise Terminal - Ocean Countess. At the roundabout intersection, shown on the directional map, the Cruise Car Parking facility is clearly signposted. A shuttle bus service provided by the port will transport passengers and their luggage to the Cruise Terminal. Places must be reserved and paid for in advance as detailed in the Pre-Cruise Information. Please ensure that the Car Park Permit issued is clearly displayed on the windscreen of the vehicle upon arrival at the Car Park.

Passengers should be aware that the Langton Cruise Terminal is located within the secure port facility. Independent passengers arriving at the port should follow the yellow signs for the Langton Cruise Terminal/Ocean Countess. Please note that after entering the port facility, the Langton Cruise Terminal is approximately 1.75miles drive fromthe port gates. Once at the Cruise Terminal drop off area, porters will take all large items of luggage for direct delivery to the vessel – please ensure that all large pieces of luggage are clearly identified with the labels provided with your tickets. The Cruise Terminal is next to the drop off area and a walk of approximately 100 metres from the vessel.

There is a railway station at Tilbury Town and C2C operate a regular service from London Fenchurch Street Station. Tilbury Town is about one mile from the cruise terminal and taxis are available for the short transfer.


Short Stay Cruise Car Parking

Short stay parking for drop-off and pick-up is located immediately adjacent to the Cruise Terminal

Long Trem Car cruise Parking

Long stay passenger parking must be booked in advance. The car parking rate is £9.00 per night (inclusive of VAT). For cruises of 30 night duration and over, the car parking rate is £6.50 per night.


MARCO POLO passengers

MARCO POLO passengers should make a booking through us at Planet Cruise and will be given a Parking Permit, which should be clearly displayed on the windscreen of your vehicle on arrival. All cars are in a secured car park. However, users of the car park do so at their own risk and the management will not accept responsibility for any accident, loss or damage. Porters are available to unload your luggage on arrival, which will be taken on board to your cabin. When there is a high demand for car parking, passengers will be directed to an overflow parking area and a free shuttle bus will transport passengers to and from the Terminal.


Independent cruise Passengers

If arriving by taxi, or friends bring you, your luggage will be taken by the porters and you will be directed to wait in the passenger lounge until embarkation. Please note there are no facilities for visitors to wait in the Cruise Terminal but there is a viewing area from the Tilbury/Gravesend Ferry boarding area of the landing stage further downstream, should you wish to watch the cruise vessel depart. (This viewing area is closed on Sundays).

Cruise Car Parking

Pre-booking of car-parking at Portsmouth Cruise Terminal is not required. If you are parking for the full term of the cruise you will be directed to the luggage drop off point then directed to the long term car park, where a shuttle bus will then return you to the Passenger cruise Terminal. The car park is a secure multi storey, and is situated at the Docks entrance, which is in walking distance, but there will be a minibus available to transfer you to the terminal building. Upon arrival at the car park you are required to take a ticket from the barrier. Once in the Cruise Terminal you must hand this ticket to the check-in staff in order to qualify for the Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines discounted parking rate. The check-in staff will validate the ticket and return it to you. Please retain your ticket as you will need to insert it into the exit barrier when leaving the car park after your cruise. Your onboard account will be charged with the daily rate for parking.


Please note: You are required to settle this bill before you disembark the vessel. (If you fail to have your ticket validated, or your ticket is lost, you will have to pay at the barrier at a cost of £10 per day).

From M27 (Eastbound)

  • Exit the M27 at junction 3 and join the M271, heading towards Totton.
  • At the roundabout at the end of the M271 take the exit towards Southampton (A3024 - Mountbatten Way).
  • Turn off the A3024 where signs direct you to Dock Gate 10 and Ocean Village.
